"Gai!? What are you doing in my house!? And why don't you have a shirt on!?" You shriek trying to cover your panties

"I-I-I--- y-you -h-hot!!!" He tried to defend his reason but they became a jumbled mess of incoherent words

He tried to cover his eyes by switching from his hands to his arms to closing his eyes and crossing his arms on his face. Finally able to sort of form a sentence he spoke

"I-I was worried about y-y-you. I didn't think your team could take care of you correctly so I came over to check-- and you weren't here I saw your soup untouched , so I waited in your room and it got hot so ---"

He continued to to talk, but you just left him there and rushed to your bathroom to get your bathrobe. As you fumbled to put it on, you groaned in annoyance to see it was a thigh length silky robe...you just rolled your eyes and walked out of your room. It's Gai so it's okay...you hope..as you walked out you didn't see him in your room so you went to the living room to find him still shirtless lying down with his face down on the couch's pillow

"Gai...Why don't you have your shirt on"

He jumped when he heard your voice

"It was hoooottttt" you rolled your eyes, but let it slide after all this is Gai 

You walked toward him and sat down beside him, running your hand through his hair in a soothing manner

"As much as I appreciate your kind gesture-- (sigh) doesn't matter. Thank you for being so kind. That was sweet of you"

Gai looked at you with tears streaming down his cheeks making you blink in surprise

"You are so good to me my dear (y/n)!!!" He got up and pulled you up on your feet  and gave you a deep(more like bone crushing) hug

"Gai.." you wheezed trying to tap out but he didn't hear you because he was in one of his talks of youth 

You were already seeing black spots when all of a sudden there was a knock on your door making Gai jump slightly and drop you with a loud thump

You groan and mentally curse. You're sweetheart of a friend is a real pain

You hear shuffling of feet and look around to see Gai gone and hear the door open

"Why hello there! You must be (y/n)'s friend! I'd like to introduce myself I am Maito Gai! And who might you be"

"...." 

"Oh not much of a talker eh? I understand or maybe it's my youthful presence that makes you at a lost for words!"

"Where's (y/n). Why don't you have a shirt. And What are you doing here?"

"(Y/n)...oh my dear I left her alone! I forgot I dropped her excuse me!" You hear fast footsteps and see Gai come in looking worried, he picked you up bridal style and placed you on the couch grabbing your hand in both of his

"My sweet little (y/n) would you ever forgive me for leaving you like that! I know I'll get you your soup! it should make you feel better...oh wait your soup is probably cold...I know I'll go get you a new one! Yes that's exactly what I'll do! I'll be back my youthful friend! Don't go dying on me!" 

And with that he took off

"Sorry (y/n)'s friend but I must get the soup of youth!"

"Whatever" you heard the voice say, for some reason you could picture them rolling their eyes when they spoke

You heard the door close and the footsteps come near
